Inver Hills Community College, Dakota County Technical College and St. Paul College are jointly presenting the Second Annual Summer Equity Summit Tuesday, June 15, 2021, from 11 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. This year’s theme is Racial Justice: Moving Forward, Continuing the Work. The online event is for all employees of the colleges.
Nekima Levy Armstrong, a civil rights attorney and racial justice advocate, is the keynote presenter. Breakout sessions will be focused on:

- Intersectional Approaches to an Anti-Racist Classroom

The 2021 Summer Equity Summit’s keynote presenter, Nekima Levy Armstrong, is a civil rights attorney, national expert on racial justice, former law professor, activist, and legal scholar. She previously served as a professor of law at the University of St. Thomas Law School for 13 years, where she founded and directed the Community Justice Project, an award-winning civil rights legal clinic.
Nekima’s work has been featured in Associated Press, Crisis Magazine, MIC.com, Huffington Post, MinnPost, and the Star Tribune, to name a few. She has appeared on national news outlets such as CNN, PBS, Democracy Now, Al Jazeera America, News One and HuffPost Live.
