6th Annual Inver Hills Marijuana Forum Recap

Sponsored by Inver Hills Sociology Department and Sociology Club

The Sociology department and Sociology Club at Inver Hills Community College hosted the 6th Annual Inver Hills Marijuana Forum Friday, April 20, 2018, in Heritage Hall Room 203. Town Square Television filmed the forum before a live audience of students, staff, faculty and community members. The program will air soon on the network.

Dave Berger, Inver Hills sociology faculty, reported that his students were involved in all aspects of the forum’s production.

“The forum was fantastic,” Dave said. “Our panel of four speakers did a great job. I am so proud of my students. They did a wonderful job producing this show.”

Dave added that the program’s format was not a debate, but rather a forum to present a variety of different views on the topic of marijuana, medical cannabis and related legal aspects. “We find that providing indirect questions allows for a more respectful and safe environment,” he said. “You can watch the entire forum on YouTube and Vimeo.
