Area high school students explored the arts in a variety of interactive sessions
The Fine Arts department at Inver Hills Community College hosted the Fine Arts Festival Friday, April 14, in the Fine Arts building on the college’s campus in Inver Grove Heights, Minnesota. Students from St. Thomas Academy and Cretin-Derham Hall, Hastings, and Rosemount high schools participated in a number of hands-on artistic activities, including:
- Wire Sculpture with Charlotte Roth, Art Faculty
- Life Drawing Strategies with Rob Kolomyski, Painting and Drawing Faculty
- Majolica Clay Tile with Wendy Olson, Ceramics Faculty
- Photo Portrait with Paul Wegner, Photography Faculty
- Steel Drum with Andy Martin, Music Faculty
- Art History Trivia with Jennifer Joffee, Art History Faculty
- Drawing on the Community Art Board
- Learning more about Fine Arts programs at Inver Hills with Aaron Salasek, Director of Outreach and Recruitment
