Calling all faculty, staff, and students! Submit a proposal to present by Friday, April 4, 2025
Inver Hills Community College is holding the Annual Research Conference (ARC) 2025 Wednesday, April 23, 2025, and Thursday, April 24, 2025, in the Fine Arts building on the college’s campus in Inver Grove Heights, Minnesota.
The Annual Research Conference (ARC) is a chance for Inver Hills students, faculty, and staff to showcase their work and projects. This year’s ARC theme is Exploring Wellness: Health, Community, and Resilience. The conference provides participants an opportunity to improve skills such as communication, organization, public presentation, active listening, and the importance of questioning general assumptions and basic argumentative structures.
The ARC 2025 Committee is inviting college faculty, staff, and students to present projects at the conference. Presentations can be related to the theme, but all topics are welcome. Staff and faculty can present their own work and/or encourage students to present theirs. Submit a proposal to present by Friday, April 4, 2025. Projects do not have to be completed by the time of signup, but you will be asked for a title and 50-word summary to go into the ARC 2025 program.
Lisa Tracy, biology faculty, and Marika Reese, social justice studies faculty, are the ARC 2025 Committee co-chairs. Lisa and Marika, along with the rest of the committee, are inviting everyone in the Inver Hills campus community to attend ARC 2025. They are encouraging faculty to attend and bring their classes even if they or their students are not presenting. Presentations in poster or oral formats, keynote speakers, and special events will be occurring every hour on the hour.
Faculty can also contact Lisa or Marika to request help getting their students ready to present. Sample assignments in poster or oral presentation form are available.
Submissions are due by Friday, April 4, 2025.
