Humor and romance are beautifully woven together with a generous touch of magic in this lively version of the timeless favorite and always beloved French tale. When the king proclaims a ball will be held so his son can find a wife, the entire kingdom is in a tizzy, especially Cinderella’s stepmother who is thrilled her two daughters are invited. They are all aghast when Cinderella is presented with an invitation, too, but worry little because she has nothing to wear and couldn’t possibly attend.
Little do they know that Cinderella’s Fairy Godmother will provide her with all she needs. When Cinderella arrives at the ball, no one knows who she is. The prince is enthralled and never leaves her side, much to the chagrin of the step-sisters.
However, at the stroke of midnight she follows her Fairy Godmother’s instructions and flees, leaving one of her glass slippers behind. The next day the prince insists every maiden in the land try on the slipper so he can find his lost love. His last stop is the home of Cinderella where the step-sisters attempt to cram their monstrous feet into the small graceful slipper. When the prince spies Cinderella, he insists she try it on, and, as in all good fairy tales, they live happily ever after…
