Fall semester student event draws great crowd
Rain arrived in the early morning Thursday, Aug. 21, but the weather turned sunny in time for Inver Hills Community College to host Kick-Off 2014. Faculty, staff and students welcomed many new students and their families to the college’s main campus in Inver Grove Heights, Minn. Students got the chance to meet new people, join clubs and groups, sign up for activities, connect with instructors and staff, and attend educational sessions that will help with the transition to college life. Kick-Off 2014 featured a free BBQ picnic and live music by Urban Myth Band on the college’s mall.
