What are you most looking forward to at KickOff?
What I’m looking to forward at KickOff is seeing all the returning and incoming new students, coming back to campus, to experience either again or for the first time, the fun things that happen during the beginning of a new fall semester.
Why do you think it is important for students to attend KickOff (new or returning)?
I think it’s important for new and returning students to attend KickOff, because not all only will you be able to see your friends (or make new ones), you’ll also be able to see what the campus has to offer, during the semester. From meeting with the faculty, workshops, attending the Resource Fair, and the best thing all, FREE FOOD!!!!
What is one thing you wish you would have known before you started at Inver Hills?
What I wish I known before starting Inver, is how important it is, to be involved with Student Life on campus. Not only you make amazing friends, you’ll have opportunities to have amazing experiences due to being active in the Inver Community, you could one day have an opportunity to throw a first pitch at Saint’s game on College Night, or have the opportunity to gain your leadership skills by becoming an officer in a Club or a Small Community, to build up your resume. The more active you are, the more you learn, and some day, the faculty/staff you worked with, could be your future references on job applications!
What advice would you give new students coming to KickOff?
My advice to new students coming to KickOff is to take advantage of all the resources that are being offered during it. By going to the workshops, that will help prepare you for the semester, find your classrooms, discover about clubs and other involvement opportunities, and learning about the resources and support services Inver has to offer. Inver has so many to make getting your education, easier for you!
