Three-year contract for both Inver Hills and DCTC campuses
Lancer Hospitality was awarded the food services contract for the campuses of Inver Hills Community College and Dakota County Technical College Tuesday, April 17, 2018. The contract will go into effect Sunday, July 1, 2018.
The Food Services Committee evaluated three companies competing for the opportunity. Committee membership reflected the communities on both campuses and included the CFO plus the deans of student affairs from both colleges as well as representatives from the following areas:
- Business Office
- Copy Center
- Students
- Student Life
- DCTC Business Office
- Counseling
- Advising

Slated to last three years with an option for a two-year extension, the contract with Lancer Hospitality has not been finalized. Negotiations are underway to determine the terms for both schools. Hours of operation for fall and spring semester along with summer session are part of the negotiations. Contract highlights include:
- New: Starbucks Coffee
- $5 meals will continue
- Prices will be lower for the first year
- Food Services Committee at each college will work with Lancer on pricing and food options
