The LGBT+ Club at Inver Hills Community College is hosting a Bottomless Coffee with Jerome podcast Monday, February 26, 2024, at 3 p.m. in FA 194 in the Fine Arts building on the college’s campus in Inver Grove Heights, Minnesota.
Amy Zsohar, communication studies faculty and LGBT+ Club faculty advisor, reported that Jerome Evans will be interviewing at least two Inver Hills students for the podcast, which will be recorded for later broadcast.
“We are really excited to host Jerome Evans on campus,” Amy said. “It is essential for our LGBTQIA+ students to know they have a community and a voice within that community. Having Jerome come to campus offers that opportunity. What we are doing at Inver Hills to make this campus more welcoming and inclusive for our LGBTQIA+ community is important. Having a conversation about what still needs to be done is also important.”
Amy added that Jerome and Bottomless Coffee are offering a space for students, community members, and people with great ideas to use their voices as advocates for a more diverse and equitable campus.
“I am personally excited to listen to all they have to say as they represent themselves, Inver Hills, and the LGBTQIA+ community,” she said.
