April 9 – April 15 • National Student Employment Association (NSEA) declaration
Inver Hills Community College is celebrating National Student Employment Week (NSEW) Monday, April 10, through Saturday, April 15, 2023. Every year, the National Student Employment Association (NSEA) declares the second week of April as a time to recognize all students who work on campus while going to college.
NSEW is also a time to show appreciation for campus community members who supervise student workers, delivering on-the-job training and professional development opportunities that help prepare students for their future careers.
Shannon Williams serves as the Inver Hills coordinator of community-based learning. Shannon understands how important student employment is for both students and the college.
“With approximately 75 student employees, the college appreciates all the work each and every student contributes to the betterment of the services the college is able to offer to both the on-campus community and the community at large,” Shannon said. “We could not do what we do without you! During Student Employment Appreciation Week especially we would like to extend a huge thank-you to all the student employees for their hard work and individual contributions as well as the student employee supervisors who mentor and guide the students through their career and experience at Inver Hills both as students and as individuals.”
