New Transfer Pathway Degrees

Biology, Business and Psychology offer seamless transfer as a junior to all seven Minnesota State universities

Inver Hills Community College is delivering three new degrees for fall semester 2017. The new Transfer Pathway degrees offer you the opportunity to complete an Associate of Science (A.S.) in Biology, an A.S. in Business, or an Associate of Arts (A.A.) in Psychology. Your course credits will transfer directly to designated bachelor’s degree programs at all seven Minnesota State universities.

The entire curriculum of each Transfer Pathway program has been carefully designed to guarantee you junior status when you are admitted to a Minnesota State university. You can go on to complete your bachelor’s degree by earning 60 additional credits.

With this transfer pathway, you will be able to transfer to the following majors:

Biology – B.S. in General Biology
Biology – B.S. in Ecology, Biodiversity, and Evolutionary Biology
Biology – B.S. in Environmental Science
Minimum admission to major: 2.25 GPA;
Major courses with grade C or higher

Metropolitan State University
B.A. in Biology
Minimum admission to major: 2.25 GPA;
Major courses with grade C or higher

Minnesota State University, Mankato
B.A. in Biology
B.S. in Biology
Minimum admission to major: 2.7 GPA

Minnesota State University, Moorhead
B.A. in Biology
B.A. in Ecology
Minimum admission to major: 2.0 GPA

Southwest Minnesota State University
Biology Concentration, B.A.
Minimum admission to major: GPA of 2.5 in all major course work taken at SMSU, including courses transferred from other institutions.
GPA of 2.0 in all minor course work is required.

Psychology Transfer Pathway

The Psychology Pathway consists of the Required Pathway Curriculum, the Minnesota Transfer Curriculum, the Health and Physical Fitness Requirement, and any electives to bring your credit total to 60.
