A.S. degree program evaluated with 30 other nursing programs in state
Nursing Process, an online resource that helps nursing students explore education and career options, has ranked the Nursing Associate of Science (A.S.) program at Inver Hills Community College #1 in the state of Minnesota for 2021. The Inver Hills Nursing program was evaluated along with 30 associate degree nursing programs across the state.
Nursing Process: “Inver Hills Community College is known to have one of the most military-friendly campuses in the country. By participating in community-focused activities here, you can benefit from gaining actual real-world practical experience. The curriculum trains you to enter the workforce as a vital member of the professional medical team and to deliver effective nursing care to your patients.”
Nursing Process gathered a list of all nursing schools offering associate degree programs in every state and then ranked the best based on the following three factors:
- Average NCLEX-RN First Time Pass Rates of Recent Five Years: 40 percent of overall score
- Academic Quality (Enrollment Rate, Graduation Rate & Retention Rate): 30 percent of overall score
- NursingProcess.org Editorial Staff Ratings and Nursing School Reputation: 30 percent of overall score
Data required for the rankings were gathered from IPEDs, State Board of Nursing websites, U.S. News & World Report, Niche, Grad Reports, Rate My Professors and official school websites.

As a transformative approach to nursing education, MANE encourages a deep understanding of key nursing concepts while addressing the changing health care environment.
The Associate of Science (A.S.) in Nursing prepares you for a career in professional nursing. Admission to the Nursing program is limited and competitive; a separate application is required. Many students enroll at Inver Hills and complete prerequisite courses before applying to the Nursing program. Advanced standing is offered to qualified licensed practical nurses (LPN’s) interested in the MANE nursing program.
