Scholarship Art Sale Fall 2023 at Gallery 120

Gallery 120 at Inver Hills Community College is hosting the Scholarship Art Sale for fall semester 2023 now through Thursday, December 14, 2023. The sale features artwork created by area artists, including Inver Hills faculty, staff, and students.

Forty percent of sold work from artists goes toward art scholarships; 100 percent of proceeds from donated work goes toward art scholarships. Gallery 120 accepts credit and debit cards, checks, and cash—the latter needs to be exact change.

“The Gallery 120 Scholarship Art Sale is a great opportunity to support local artists, artisans, and our art students,” said Janell Hammer, Gallery 120 coordinator. “People can shop ceramics and framed or hanging work as well as repurposed, recycled, handmade, and/or wearable goods.”

Art shows and exhibitions are hosted at the Gallery 120 brick-and-mortar location in the atrium of the Fine Arts building on the Inver Hills Community College campus in Inver Grove Heights, Minnesota.

Scholarship Art Sale artists

Melissa Templeton Prouix: Analog collages featuring Earth-friendly construction; the four collages in this exhibit were created from recycled magazine, calendar, and catalog pages. All artworks were framed with secondhand frames; three of the four collages utilized recycled matboards as well.
Artist’s Statement: “I disassemble commercial advertising as well as various graphic images to collage whimsical and absurd scenes. My eye is triggered by singular images which I combine to create a fanciful world for viewers and make them smile.”

Paula Person: Recycled pop culture bags, charms, etc.
“A little piece of time recycled from original materials from vintage and current publications.”

Bill Feikema: Hand-painted and crafted pens and bass fishing lures

Elaine Feikema: Crocheted dish clothes, regular and with abrasive corner
