Spring 2022 Allied Health Career Fair

Inver Hills and DCTC students explore healthcare-related careers

Inver Hills Community College and Dakota County Technical College hosted an Allied Health Career Fair from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Thursday, May 5, 2022, in the Fine Arts building on the college’s campus in Inver Grove Heights, Minnesota. Inver Hills and DCTC students attended with the goal to explore healthcare-related career fields.

“This was the first Inver Hills/DCTC combined Allied Health in-person recruitment event we’ve ever held,” reported Aria Kronebusch, DCTC career and transfer resource center director and transition advisor. “The two colleges together offer nearly a dozen allied health programs ranging from Practical Nursing to Dental Assistant at DCTC and Health Sciences Broad Field to Emergency Medical Services at Inver Hills.”

“We were excited to host the first in-person recruitment event on the Inver Hills campus since fall 2019,” said Jared Scharpen, Inver Hills director of career development. “We welcomed students from both colleges to the Fine Arts building lobby to meet with allied health employers. Lunch was provided during the event.”
