Jennifer B. Kahnweiler, PhD, a bestselling author and one of the top global leadership speakers on introverts, is the featured presenter. Jennifer’s pioneering books, The Introverted Leader, Quiet Influence, The Genius of Opposites, and the new Creating Introvert-Friendly Workplaces have been translated into 18 languages. Her first book,The Introverted Leader, was named one of the top five business books by The Shanghai Daily.

The webinar includes a fireside chat with Michael Berndt, president of Inver Hills and Dakota County Technical College. President Berndt will be exploring his leadership journey as an introvert.

More about Jennifer B. Kahnweiler, PhD…¹

Jennifer B. Kahnweiler, PhD, has been a learning and development professional and leadership speaker at leading organizations like Merck, Kimberly-Clark, NASA, Bosch, the American Chemical Society, Freddie Mac and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. Jennifer has more than 12 years experience delivering online presentations and courses.

Jennifer has delivered keynotes and seminars in Australia, Vietnam, Japan, Germany and Paraguay. Her engaging presentations to diverse audiences blend research with provocative examples and practical tools. She has been featured in The Wall Street Journal and The New York Times.

She received her Ph.D. in Counseling and Organizational Development from Florida State University, her degrees in sociology and counseling from Washington University, St. Louis. She also holds the Certified Speaking Professional designation, awarded to a small percentage of speakers; she serves as a mentor to many professional women.

A native New Yorker, Jennifer now calls Atlanta, Georgia, home.



More about Michael Berndt…

Michael Berndt serves as president of Dakota County Technical College and Inver Hills Community College. Berndt was named interim president in July 2018 and permanent president in March 2020.

Previously, President Berndt served as vice president of academic affairs at Century College from 2014 to 2018 where his responsibilities included providing oversight for more than 60 liberal arts and career and technical programs, the library, and several academic support centers across six academic divisions.

He served Normandale Community College from 2008 to 2014 as a dean, associate vice president, and vice president of planning and institutional effectiveness. He was the assistant to the president for strategic initiatives from 2006 to 2008. He was a full-time English instructor at Normandale from 2000 to 2006, and chair of the English department from 2002 to 2004.

Berndt has a Master of Arts (M.A.) in English Language and Literature from Southern Illinois University, Carbondale, and a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) in English and Philosophy from the University of Minnesota, Morris.
