Insight 7 Host Adam Carter interviews students about Best for Vets

Adam Carter, host of Town Square Television’s Insight 7, visited the campus of Inver Hills Community College and interviewed student veterans about the college’s Veteran Services program, with a special focus on why the college was chosen for Best for Vets: Colleges 2016 for Two-Year Schools.

Sue Flannigan, veteran services coordinator, reported that the Best For Vets story will be airing on Channel 14 on the February 2016 edition of Insight 7. The video can also be found on Inver Hills Facebook and Vimeo.

Inver Hills only MnSCU school to break top 25

Military Times named Inver Hills #3 on Best for Vets: Colleges 2016 for Two-Year Schools. Inver Hills is the only MnSCU school to break the top 25 on Best for Vets, which ranks colleges nationwide.

“Many thanks go out to our counselors, administration and faculty,” Sue Flannigan said. “A special thank you goes out to Brenda Landes, lead counselor for veterans and Veterans Club advisor, Sally Dahlquist, Beyond the Yellow Ribbon chair, and Brianna Trembulak, who works in the Business Office assisting our veterans and military students and their families on campus. It takes a team to make this happen.”
