Life Lessons from a Trip Around the World

9 a.m. & 5 p.m. Zoom link provided in SSD schedule

At age 26 with a backpack and a one-way ticket to China, Andy Stoll set off on what became a four-year, 40-country trip around the world to experience other cultures. Andy worked as a maize farmer in Zambia, a factory worker in Bangkok, and a fisherman in China. He lived with Buddhist monks in Korea, hung out with presidents and slum dwellers, poets and engineers, goat herders, and movie stars.

Andy will share his stories and the lessons he learned, along with specific strategies on how to make the most of your experience in school and live the life you’ve always imagined. His presentation is an insightful, inspiring, entertaining, and often hilarious look at what it takes to find our place in the world. Through high-energy storytelling, Andy’s message is clear: The distance between who you are and what you want to become is shorter than you think!
